Privacy Policy

Overview

GoldCall helps you practice sales conversations out loud with an AI roleplay partner and receive AI feedback. Because the core features record and analyze your voice, this policy explains exactly what we collect, how it is processed and stored, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the service.

Information we collect

Account information: your email address, display name, and profile photo (when provided by your sign-in provider). Sign-in and identity are handled by Firebase Authentication; if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile details from those providers.

Voice recordings and audio: when you use AI roleplay calls, voicemail practice, or voice features, we capture audio from your device's microphone and process and store it to deliver the practice experience and your feedback.

Transcripts and practice content: we generate text transcripts of your recordings, and we store the scenarios you practice, your scores, and the AI-generated feedback on each session.

Profile and onboarding answers: information you provide during onboarding or in your profile (for example, your role, goals, or products you sell) used to tailor practice and feedback.

Subscription and purchase data: if you subscribe, we receive and store your subscription status and related transaction identifiers from the Apple App Store or from Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment-card details.

Usage analytics and diagnostics: we use PostHog for product analytics (which screens and features are used) and Sentry for crash and error reporting (technical details about failures), to understand usage and fix problems.

Device and technical information: basic device, app-version, and network information necessary to operate and secure the service.

Voice recordings, transcripts, and AI processing

To score your practice and power the AI roleplay, your audio and the transcripts derived from it are processed by trusted third-party AI providers: speech-to-text transcription (Deepgram), conversation and feedback generation (the AI providers we use for this, currently Google Gemini and Fireworks AI), and AI text-to-speech voices for your roleplay partner (ElevenLabs). Real-time call audio is carried over LiveKit.

Recordings (for example, voicemail practice) are stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3. Access to stored recordings is restricted and served through short-lived, signed links.

We use your recordings and transcripts to provide and improve your feedback and the service. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your recordings to train third-party advertising models.

How we use information

We use your information to create and secure your account, provide the app's features (including recording, transcription, scoring, and AI feedback), process your subscription, communicate important service messages, and understand and improve how the product is used. We do not sell your personal data.

Service providers and sub-processors

We rely on a small set of providers that process data on our behalf: Firebase (authentication), Amazon Web Services (backend hosting and S3 audio storage), Deepgram (speech-to-text), Google Gemini and Fireworks AI (AI conversation and feedback), ElevenLabs (AI voices), LiveKit (real-time voice), Stripe and the Apple App Store (payments and subscriptions), PostHog and Sentry (analytics and error reporting), and Meta (advertising measurement on our website only, described below). Each processes data only as needed to provide its function.

Advertising measurement (website only)

Our website and sign-up funnel use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure how our ads perform — for example, which ad brought you to our site and whether that visit led to a sign-up or purchase. As part of this measurement we may share event data with Meta along with hashed identifiers (such as a hashed email address, name, or phone number) and basic technical data (such as IP address and browser information). The GoldCall mobile app does not contain advertising trackers.

We use this only to measure and improve our advertising. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of this kind of sharing: you can use the consent controls shown on our website where applicable, limit tracking through your browser's privacy settings, or contact us (see Contact below) to exercise your rights.

Organization workspaces

If you join an organization workspace (for example, one created by your employer or manager), practice you complete within that workspace — including your recordings, transcripts, scores, and feedback — is shared with and can be reviewed by your organization's managers and administrators. Practice you complete in your Personal workspace is not shared with any organization. The app indicates which workspace you are in before you record.

Data storage, security, and location

Your data is stored on our backend (hosted on AWS) and with the providers listed above. Requests to our servers are authenticated with a Firebase identity token over an encrypted connection, and we use industry-standard measures to protect your data. Data may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.

Data retention

We retain your account information and practice content (including recordings, transcripts, and feedback) for as long as your account is active, so your history and progress remain available to you. When you delete your account, we remove your associated content as described below. Some records may be retained for a limited period where required by law (for example, billing records) or in routine backups before they are overwritten.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your display name at any time in Settings. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; deleting your account removes your profile and associated content — including your practice sessions, recordings, and transcripts — from our systems, subject to the limited legal/backup retention noted above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access or delete your personal data; contact us to exercise them.

Children

GoldCall is intended for use by adults in a professional context and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.

Contact

If you have questions about this policy or your data, or wish to exercise your privacy rights, contact us any time at goldcall.app/support, or through Contact support in the app's Settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest version.
